A. MEMBERSHIP 1). There are no membership fees, all drivers and car owners are eligible for points, and need no organization affiliation. 1a.) See section E for car owner rules. B. POINT SCORING 2.) If an event is posted, and regarded as official by the sanctioning organization, then we accept it as an official event. 3.) Results are posted only after receiving them from an official representative of the sanctioning organization. 4.) Preliminary Night Features at the Chili Bowl will carry a minimum of 5 points per feature starting driver. 5.) Only the starting driver of the feature, will receive points. No relief driver points will be scored except for Indianapolis Speedrome 500 or Anderson Speedway 400 lap events, the points are divided equal among both drivers. 6.) Twin features run on the same day at the same track will receive point rank two for each feature provided there are at least 21 cars present at the start of the evenings events. 7.) Events with less than fifteen cars
will not award manufacturer and car owner points. 9.) Ties will be broken only in the top ten, after the season's final event, for Driver, Car Owner and Rookie points. 9a.) First tie breaker is the driver/car owner with the least races run. 9b.)Second tie breaker will be the driver with the most feature wins, if still tied, then second place feature finishes, third, etc., until tie is broken. 10.) If tie in Manufacturers Championship occurs first tie breaker will be most feature wins. Second tie breaker will be most points scored in the big nine events. 11.) Only events which feature full sized unlimited midget auto racing cars will be scored. Events for Spec Series (Kenyon Cars, Ford Focus, BCRA Lites, NEMA Lites, UMARA Sportsman) will not count. Special invitational events will not count. 12.) Race season year will be January 1- November 30. Events scheduled prior to November 30, and run afterwards due to weather conditions will count in that year. Any events run between December 1-31, and sanctioned by a race organization will carry points for the new season( i.e. January 1). 12a.) Rule 12 was changed for the 2005 season to allow the Mopar Sprint/Midget USAC Spl Event at the Orlando Speedworld on Dec. 1-2, 2005 to count towards the 2005 championship. 13.) Mid-season point leader will be the driver leading points at the conclusion of all June 30 events. C. ROOKIE STATUS D. POINT FUND E. CAR OWNERS 2.) For car owners to participant in year-end point fund distribution and special race awards, they must display National Midget Driver of the Year decals on their car. Failure to follow this rule will result in their prize money being distributed to the next eligible car owner.
